Know what stays with an Upper Yoder property

For a home in Upper Yoder Township, the official garbage and recycling page is worth reviewing before unpacking. Its 2026 instructions say that township-issued collection carts are assigned to the property and should remain there when ownership changes. Check that the expected carts are present during the handover rather than treating them as belongings the departing household can take.

The township explains that recycling runs every other week and on a different day from regular garbage collection. It publishes separate schedule and map links for the two services. Save the correct schedules for the address so moving boxes do not send you to the curb on the wrong day. The same page directs residents to the township office about missed collections and to the collection contractor for special bulk pickups.

Upper Yoder's listed office address is 110 Sunray Drive, Suite 1, Johnstown, PA 15905. These township instructions apply to properties in its jurisdiction; confirm the municipality for your home when selecting a collection schedule.

Sort internet equipment separately

Internet equipment needs its own handover conversation. Ask the seller or landlord which installed components belong with the property and which belong to an outgoing account. Confirm return instructions with the relevant provider before disconnecting or taking equipment away.

Then arrange the new account around the date you can enter the home. The moving internet guide can help coordinate activation, the old account's end date, and any return deadline. Keep the offered connection type, monthly cost, and equipment terms with the installation confirmation so you can check the first bill against the order.

For a broader comparison, see Johnstown internet options, the 15904 page, and the provider directory. Use this page's address controls to establish the offer for the specific property.
